2023 proved to be a remarkable period for AI tools, boasting over 10,000 distinct services. Individuals and businesses gained a lot from AI, and this will keep happening in 2024. While I’ve previously delved into why AI will play a crucial role beyond our imagination, it’s essential to understand what to expect in concrete terms for 2024.

1. Faster Services

The increase in computing power, in line with Moore’s Law, remains relentless. However, it’s the algorithms that truly enable services to operate even more swiftly than before. Explore how these algorithms significantly enhance image generation speed in the example provided. Eliminating this speed constraint will undoubtedly usher in even more incredible innovations.

2. Video Generation for All

The democratization of video creation from text or images is underway and will gain momentum in 2024. Platforms like Pika, RunWayML or Leonardo enable free video creation, offering limitless possibilities for scenario creation and video design. However, mastering prompt creation remains crucial for exceptional results.

3. Hyper-Personalization

AI’s primary strength lies in its ability to comprehend user data and make decisions based on it. While human interaction remains ideal for understanding needs, AI can access additional digital information to enhance its services through Big Data and correlation algorithms between users. This gradual shift will lead to highly personalized super services that should assist us daily.

4. New Intelligent Chatbots

ChatGPT has been a limitation in creating intelligent text-based services, as it was not open source. However, 2023 was pivotal in creating Open-source Language models (LLMs) that matched or even surpassed ChatGPT. This webpage lists free models and their features, showcasing the competitive advantage of large Open Source communities in fostering innovation and new education or business projects.

In addition, they are more and more connected to voices able to render authentic emotions.

5. Animated Virtual Influencers

2023 was a significant year for virtual influencers like Aitana able to be realistic with interesting stories.

Thanks to all the previous improvements, we should expect fully animated influencers with voice in 2024.

The eventual progression towards personalized influencers, incorporating emotion recognition, seems inevitable. While this may not materialize in 2024, it undeniably addresses a pressing need for many, likely becoming a reality very soon.

6. New Tools for Truly Intelligent Robots

Combining smart chatbots with robotics will increasingly bring about programmable intelligent robots. While several initiatives for intelligent robots already exist, the democratization of LLMs, increased computing capabilities, and mastery of 3D algorithms will likely result in new, programmable robots accessible to a broader audience. This new high accessibility to robotics will bring new AI modules or tools.

7. Tools with Multiple AIs

While 10,000 tools address many needs, they often cater to specific or essential requirements. Refining these services and an ever-increasing understanding of user needs will lead to tools in 2024 with multiple integrated AIs. Managing the complexity of algorithms to address needs with effectiveness will be a significant focus in 2024 and beyond.

8. Continuous Improvement in Results Quality

Midjourney, among others, has consistently improved the quality of its outputs, a trend evident since version 1. This is a testament to the enduring rule in AI: it consistently improves over time, much like any evolving technology.

In Conclusion

We have witnessed a democratization and significant evolution of AI tools, with increasing accessibility. Furthermore, improved performance and result quality will facilitate communication between algorithms for even better services.

If 2023 was excellent, 2024 promises to be incredible.
